The DECODER Project will be showcased at OW2online’20, June 17

Several hundreds of OW2 members and partners will learn more about the DECODER Software Project Intelligence Platform designed for DevOps teams, during the OW2 annual conference.

Paris, June 3, 2020 - The DECODER Project team is glad to present a smarter environment for DevOps teams at OW2online’20. The DECODER project gathers seven members from four European countries, including one University, one research organization, two industrial partners and three SMEs. It is coordinated by Technikon, with CEA List as Technical Leader and involves OW2 as dissemination leader and use case provider.

Virgile Prevosto, Researcher at CEA List will present DECODER to hundreds of online participants, next June 17 at 4:45PM. He will summarize the project outcomes after 18 months of development, and will explain what makes DECODER a smarter environment for DevOps teams.

Thanks to its methodology and its comprehensive toolset, DECODER brings a deeper understanding of software codes and their evolutions. Virgile Prevosto will present the main open source software assets, including DECODER PKM (Persistent Knowledge Monitor), and specific modules designed for developers, testers and maintainers.
DECODER provides a comprehensive open source framework for the DevOps teams, leveraging technologies such as NLP (natural language processing), and ML (Machine Learning). Its main objective is to offer more efficiency along the application lifecycle, through code understanding, readability, reusability, compliance and security.

Aligned with the OW2online’20 focus on “the full-stack open source”, DECODER can improve the workflow of DevOps teams, mixing mature techniques such as static source program analysis, model extraction, and AI (Artifical Intelligence).

This year OW2 annual conference is comprised of a virtual event, OW2online’20, and a physical event, the OW2 Community Day on November 3rd with keynotes, round tables, awards and ample time for networking.

The OW2online’20 program includes two invited keynotes, Roberto Di Cosmo, from Software Heritage, and Luis Busquets, from the European Commission DG CONNECT, five great sessions including some 30 presentations by speakers from 13 countries representative of Europe's open source ecosystem. The Collaborative R&D Projects session at OW2online’20 will showcase DECODER, FASTEN, Melodic, Morphemic and ReachOut outcomes.

The conference is free and all presentations will be held in English.  OW2online’20 will run on a platform enabling participants to ask questions in real time and to carry on the conversation with the speakers after the presentations.
